  • Civ 3 Newbie: Mac Complete

Can anyone direct me to a forum that could address a few questions I have?

And does anyone know how I can not play this game for 8!!!!!! hours straight?

    Thanks.

Depends on what question you have. There's probably a forum here at Apolyton to answer it. If it's a technical problem, try the Help forum; if it's about general gameplay, here in the general forum is probably best, and pretty much anything can be tossed in here really; and you can try the strategy forum for help with particular tactics or situations.

And I'm not sure what you mean. The game crashes regularly or something?

As far as play/strat anything that works for PC works for the Mac version, i would think.

Anyway post away and see what happens.

Well I have just had my butt whipped in the "Rise of Rome" scenerio after 5 hrs of gameplay. Geez, this game is a time burner!

How do you handle civil unrest in cities? It really ties up units (if that's how you handle it.); and how do you raise tax rates if you need to?

No technical problems. The game plays great on my iMac G5.

        Thanks for the replies.

To raise taxes you use the slider. There is one to change the research and one to change the lux. If you decrease either one, the taxes will increase.

YOu have few things to ease the unrest. You can increase the lux slider. You can buiild structures to make citizens content, such as temples/cath/colloseum and markets.

You can use citizens as specialist. Entertainers make people happy, but they are no longer working either.

By The Way (BTW) I would suggest not playing the canned scenarios, until you have a few game under your belt. They are all made by hand and do not reflect the normal game settings.
