Limited Strategic Resources

Currently playing:

Warlord
vs 4 Civs
Large Map
Wet
Way ahead in tech

I have close to 40% of map area and here are the few SR

Coal-3
Saltpeter-2
Iron-2
Oil-1
Rubber-1


Most other games I have played have been more generous with the SR


Would you go to war to get the only supply of rubber, the AI has been a good neighbor so far.

Has anyone run across such limited SR?

Yes that is the only way you will have rubber. I don't think it can appear as it cannot vanish.

Of course you could win without, but hey.

It DO can vanish or appear, but the probability is very low... Go for war before they got Infantries and Tanks.

I concurr. Not only may they stab you in the back, but there is a long period where rubber is important. Making an enemy is far less important then protecting yourself from all.

If way ahead on tech at warlord it may not be necessary to invade for rubber. If one can get to Mech Infantry before the AI gets to Infantry there will be no problem. If there is no assurance of doing this then ......... invade.
