  • Meaning of Numbers in Selection Window

This has been driving me crazy. In the selection window at the bottom right of the screen there is some text that provides your status. Mine right now says:

    Japan - Monarchy (4.6.0)
    260 AD 193 Gold (-15 per turn)
    Education (1 turn)

    What does the (4.6.0) mean?

tax, researcha and lux settings. You have two sliders to set. One is for research and the other is for lux. The total of those two is subtracted from 100 and the remainder, if any is the tax rate.

BTW do see if you reduce the research for one turn, since you are going to learn Education on the next turn. Often you can set it down a few clicks and still get the breakthrough on the next turn and save some gold.

"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961
"Extremism in the defense of liberty is not a vice." -- Barry Goldwater, 1964 GOP Nomination acceptance speech (not George W. Bush 40 years later...)
