I need someone to create a 250x250 Earth Map using the Robinson Projection for a mod I'm developing. I've been using Rhye's 180x180 map thus far, but I'd like to go with something bigger. This map should also have correct starting locations for all standard C3C civs, if it's not too much trouble. If you're interested in doing the map, please email me.

After a little more testing, I think I'm going to reduce the mapsize somewhat, 250x250 is a bit too "roomy". It will now be 210x210. So if there's some great map maker out there than can put this together, email or PM me, or just let me know right here in this thread, whichever you prefer.
I'm thinking I'll give some sort of compensation to whoever does the map, though I'm not sure what's reasonable just yet. So if you've got the skills and the time, let me know, and let me know what you'd like as compensation as well (be reasonable please). Also, let me know how long you think the job would take. Links to any previous maps you've made would be useful to judge the "winner" as well.

One more bump before I start a new thread for this, seeing as the title of this one is now a bit misleading and doesn’t mention the fact that I’m willing to pay for this...
Since I haven’t gotten any offers yet, for whatever reason, and I figured I’d get at least one over the weekend, I thought I’d go ahead and clarify a few things.
First, I’ll clear up the compensation I spoke of. Since I believe that the map will take about a month to create, what I’d like to do is offer a month’s salary, unfortunately I’m not rich, so I can’t afford to do that. What I can afford at the moment is $100 (US). If I can afford a little more at the time of completion (the map’s completion that is), I’d be willing to pay a little more to get this done well. For obvious reasons, I’d rather not send cash through the mail, so you’d need to let me know if you’d rather use paypal (and I don’t have an account so I’d rather not have to set one up, just for this one time), some site’s (Amazon?) gift certificate program, a physical gift certificate mailed to you, or some other method of payment. Once you’ve contacted me (via PM preferably), we’ll talk more about the payment.
Second, I’ll clear up some of the map specs. The size of the map is still in flux, until I get someone working on this. Though my first real test at 210x210 is promising, it does slow down a little bit too much for my liking, so I might reduce the size again to 200x200 – that’s the smallest map I’m willing to live with for the sake of speeding up turn-times. I’d like the correct starting locations for every standard C3C civ on the map as well, but since I’ll be replacing some standard civs with other civs (in order to even-out civ-distribution on the world map), and I haven’t finalized which ones at this point, I can live without the starting locations for a bit if you’re not up to it. I’d still like links to any previous maps you’ve done, so that I can compare quality between all interested mapmakers.
And finally, let’s clear up what this mod is all about and what the map is needed for. The first real mod I enjoyed for civ3 was Double Your Pleasure (DyP). It had so many new units, wonders, improvements and technologies – so much detail… so many choices… I thought it was the best mod ever made. Then came Rhye’s of Civilization (RoC)– another great mod. It lacked the incredible detail of DyP, but it made up for it in even better slowed exploration and expansion than in DyP, not to mention the great historical accuracy of the world map. Then DyP was updated to Conquests and renamed Rise and Rule (RaR). When I played RaR, I missed elements of RoC, when I played RoC, I missed elements of RaR, it was a bit frustrating, but the solution was simple… Combine RaR with RoC, using all the great concepts of both mods. I could have just copied everything I wanted from both mods, but IMO that would have diminished both of those mods, and that’s not something I want to do. So, I began designing a new mod, borrowing the core concepts that made RaR and RoC so great, but with a completely fresh design.
That's where it stands at the moment. I'll be releasing more info on the mod as time goes on.
