Thanks! Thats totally what i assumed, but it is always best to ask. That makes alot of sense, and now I feel as though those barricades are far more useful than I originally imagined. Thats awesome! Thanks for the fact. And to that note, good use of tact!

It's a dead weekend, and I need to save money, so I'm playing Civ and checking Poly in the meantime. Of course, as you posted this, I was starting up WWII as Japan, and am still tied up making sure I don't miss anything in the first move. I've played it once before, as the US, and had completely forgotten (more accurately, had no real appreciation for) just how strong Japan's starting military is. So this is the one response I'm late with.Solomwi is very wise. - Imran Siddiqui

That's what I thought. The bonus is 100%, which isn't terrible when you're being attacked by cavs. Either way, they're at 6, and if you're attacking, not only do you get to choose who to attack with, but as Sabre alluded to, you get to bombard them to your heart's content, as opposed to one free potshot. It makes sense that they get the bonus, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.Solomwi is very wise. - Imran Siddiqui

Lovely defenses:
I usually place forts at strategic locations (mostly mountains or hills, or a patch of forest) that force a choke point so I can bloody the invaders with artillery and (if possible) bombardment with my ships or bombers. Then I mop up with cavs and/or tanks.

Thanks. I usually don't even bother with forts, preferring to keep the AI on his hills so he doesn't have a chance to approach my chokepoints. But, I was being generous and letting Bismark live on my continent, found myself with about 8 idle crusaders, and well, you know how ideas can snowball sometimes.Solomwi is very wise. - Imran Siddiqui

Crusaders can build barricades? The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.
