  • Civ3 Complete or buy individually?

    Hey all,

I own the initial version of Civ3 that came out, but never picked up PTW or Conquests. A friend of mine and I are now playing some multiplayer Civ2, and were thinking of trying Civ3 multiplayer.

I was hoping to get opinions on whether it is worth picking up Civ3: Complete? Does Complete contain anything that I wouldn't be getting if I just bought PTW and Conquests (as I already own the base game)?

From reading the forums here, it appears to me that PTW and Conquests are stand-alone; in other words, you don't need one to play the other. Is that incorrect? Can you play multiplayer Conquests without PTW?

Just trying to get a feel for what our options are. Thanks for your feedback!

No need to buy PTW, Conquests includes it.

Your real choices are between buying Vanilla and Conquests seperately and buying complete. I don't know what the current prices are.

In either case, the next thing to do after installing the CDs would be downloading the Conquests 1.22 patch

Ah, okay. Since I already have vanilla, sounds like Conquests is the way to go.

      Thanks!

        Indeed, get Conquests.
