  • Civ III - importing bmps into map editor - for Mac

    Hi

Does anyone know if there is a utility that allows one to import bitmaps into the Civ III editor for Mac?

Don' think so, sorry. What specifically do you want to import? I'm not much of an expert, but you can modify units and terrain, at least.

      Hi Theseus
I wanted to import some maps - back in the dim distant past when I used A PC, I used to use a progam called BMP2MAP (I think) which did exactly this for Civ II.

Say, a map of the world, convert it into civ3 world map? Is there such utility to windows?
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

Yes there is - I found it yesterday but can't remember what it was called - but it came from Brazil or Portugal and all the documentation was in Portugese.

Just use marla singer's map or whatever her name is. It's pretty accurate, designed well, and makes for a good and interesting game...you can find it at civ3.com

I think you are missing the point - I don't want to use someone else's map - I want to create my own from scanned in maps. Also, the PC maps don't work on a Mac...
