  • Fall of Rome advice

On Regent I'm having a hard time getting the other barbarians to go to war with the other half of Rome to facilitate it's fall. It is very difficult to take out BOTH Rome and Byzantium all by yourself.

    Any advice?

There have been some thread on this scenario. I have not played it, so I can't advise.

You could also check the strat forum for it.

In Conquests [both epic and Conquests], you'll get a "Can't Be Done" if neither of you is already at war with the player you want to form an alliance against. This is a change from Vanilla.

So declare war with Rome first and then try to get them to join in.
And if it's really the other Rome you want them to fight, wait until your attack on the Rome your fighting trigures the other Rome to declare war on you before requesting an ally.

Agreed, for more specific advice at least your tribe is needed.

There's a set of standard tactics for the Huns,
another set of standard tactics for the Celts,
another set of standard tactics for the Sassidens [NOT barbs, but playable]

And another set of standard tactics for the Germanic-barbs with some minor variations for the different tribes and which territory they managed to peacefully settle.
