I'm asking this because I wanted to reinstall the game and my HD is fairly limited in space, and I didn't want to uninstall other programs to reinstall Civ.

Whenever you install something a message box usually will pop up and let you know how much space you have on your computer and how much space the program you are installing will occupy before you proceed with the installation.Comment

Two things that often can be done to free up space :
1) set the swapfile to a reasonable size and make max and min the same.
2) lower the size of the recycle bin
A third is to clear out temp file and internet, but they just fill back up.
Of course disk are dirt cheap nowadays.Comment
