  • civ3 crash : memory could not be "read"

    Hello,

I've civ 3 french 1.29f and I started a 16players game. Everything was fine until I reach ~1675. Then the game crash with a memory could not be "read" error and I can't do anything. I tried to load the game on a different computer here at home with the same civ 3 fr 1.29f and I get the same error. It always happen at the same time, either in 1775~1780 or when I try to build a settler :

I really don't have any moire idea, if someone has a clue, please tell me !!!

No I have no clue, but just to know, you're not the only one. It happends to me several times. My current play I'm in 1800 arround.
I manage once to skip a crash by just playing back from 4 turn before the crash. but i'm not sure it works every time

You have to copy the file "..\Civilization III\art\units\Colons Epoque moderne\Colons Epoque moderne.ini"
          to
          "..\Civilization III\art\units\Colons Epoque industrielle"
and rename it to "Colons Epoque industrielle.ini" thus replacing the other file with the same name.
          That's it
