The Misssissippi River does not have flood plains in Civ II terms, it has marsh instead.
One failing of Civ III is that there's no tech that allows Marsh and Jungle to become disease-free. Athough most players would evenually clear those tiles anyway, with grassland always being better than Marsh/Jungle.1st C3DG Term 7 Science Advisor 1st C3DG Term 8 Domestic Minister
