Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I started a new game, stock rules, sid, huge map, as the dutch. I was aiming for an OCC game, to see how long I could live, not to win. I was aiming to build the Colossus, but it seems that that goal is not really possible...
Enjoy...

Yes, 80 shields. Still, assuming that they started building the Wonder 5 turns into the game (the AI needs to have reached a certain point in its REX before starting Wonders), that's a 8 shields per turn average.
Bryzantie are scientific and lucked out and got an SGL upon completing their very first tech.
While a human would have saved the SGL for a more expensive wonder, the AI used it on the one wonder they definately had the tech for.

AI: I sure wish Jon would hurry up and complete his turn, he's been at it for over 1,200,000 milliseconds now.
I know, but I think that OOC will have to stay down on Emp, for the time being atleast. On Demi it is difficult to get the wonders required, on Sid it is just stupid.
Boris, the terrain graphics of Warpstorms, but I use Neissuhs' borders (dotted), and his Bonus grassland and his multimine graphic alterations. I change it every couple of weeks, when I get bored of the terrain.
RE: Strat: I was attempting to make a worker pump, pump out about 8-10 workers, a couple of Curraghs if I had forest chops available for scouts and then start The Colossus. All the terrain improvements would be up and running in about 40 turns, and the city would be size 12. It seems, however, theat I spend way to many shields trying to do that on Deity. I'll try again tonight though.

Colossus aside, what does an OCC city need a Granary for?
EDIT: Sorry I didn't read the whole thread. That much workers seem a bit hefty, anyway. I played OCCs (not at Sid though, or with C3C for that matter), but I never built more than 4.
Odd thing happened, I was looking at that picture, wanted to move on to the next post, for some reason, I tried to click that "OK" button on that screenshot... I think I need to go to sleep...
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"
Let us know how the rest of the game goes. I'm curious.

After spending about 4 hours in total starting games, looking at the start and not even getting a river, I have deciding to go to the editor and generate a map, and then adding in my start. I know that it is kinda unlikely, but I think anything goes if I am going to attemt Sid OCC...

I have been doing 20K runs, posting at CFC (in HOF) forums.
Its not a OCC but a lot like it.
A couple of key things is to use very bad map settings.
For my last game for example (demigod) I used archipelago, max water, 3 million dry arid.
You can restart to get a good start, so you want the AIs to get crappy terrain, since it wont really affect you.
I got lucky and they both started on islands with mostly mountains and no fresh water.
