Conquests - Sengoku conquest

Hi,

I am playing the Sengoku conquest and I am having problems upgrading my units ...
i have patch 1.22 installed,
i have researched swordsmiting and have access to iron,
but i cannot upgrade my shogun or my Ashigaru,
not in my capital, nor my second city with barracks ...
it says : We have not a single ashigaru which can be upgraded ...

is this a knows problem ?, or am i doing something wrong ...

Do you have enough gold to perform the upgrade(s)?

I've had that message before in regular games if my treasury was too small to upgrade a given unit.

That was indeed the problem ...
i still havent found enough gold for a shogun upgrade, but the other one worked out ....

i thought i had deleted this thread when i found that out sorry ...
