  • Expanding Time?

Hiya there, I would like to Change the default settings for Civ 3 Conquests to run past 540 turns, I always find myself rushed for time when i want to mow down the world, I was thinking of somewhere between 650 and 800 turns
    Cheers

Go the Game Editor, this is not Conquests Game proper. First do you understand this?

Load Editor, Save As to 'My Game Longer' or something unique.
Go to the Scenario Tab, the sixth to the right.
    Click Scenario Properties
Down on left side find Time Options, tick Time Limit, proceed to Turns and enter #.
Ok out, save Scenario, 'My Game Longer'
    Close, quit program

Now load Conquests, in Civ Content find, 'My Game Longer' and play as usual.

You can set the turnlimit at the ingame setupscreen (game limits option), and as long as you don't want to readjust the timescale that is the best way to do it.

Cool, thank you for help, I did notice the edit scenerio tabs in the editor although ws worried if I used these options it'd trigger all the other strange scenario stuff off like Victory points and such nonsense, seemingly not

If you forgive me asking a few more questions, If i change it to say 650, does it automatically know how to recalculate the year differences to still end in 2050??

Probably not unless you do it the way Gramphos indicates. Otherwise, you will be messing with other nonsense. I only use the Game Editor so my advice was prejudiced to same.

Be happy, do not mod unless you have a crazy streak!
