A co-worker of mine and I both have Civ III--he's got a PC and I'm on a Mac. I wanted to show him how a game of mine was going, so I brought a copy of the saved game into work. He was unable to open the saved game at all. We took a look at his saved games versus the one I brought from home, and the PC saves have much larger filesizes (3 megs on a PC versus 300k on the Mac). Clearly, something is very different in the two platforms' saved game format.
Is there some utility that I need to convert a Mac version of a Civ III saved game file to something that can be opened on a PC? Are my co-worker and I doomed to forever play Civ III independently of each other?
