Anyhow .... this is what my Austrian Hussar unit looks like:

7/2 - 3 move cavalry replacement. Has ZoC and costs 90 but requires only horses, not saltpeter. And as a bonus, it can enslave as a 'modern day' combat unit and produces slave workers.

To stay on topic - the Goths dead, the Japanese alive and kicking. What's that tell you?

Anyway, if someone wants a civ to play it, he should have it. Heck, I play Polish all the time and they weren't in any of the Civs to date.
could it be that the Japanese lived on islands and the Goths had many many people groups around them

and as some say there blood lines can still be seen in people groups throughout Europe

and yes we should be allowed to have the civs we want - one of the joys of having the editor programme

Whaddaya know, the Polish UU is a Hussar also. It is a 5/3/2 knight replacement. Historically it is something between a Horseman and Cavalry (no plate armour like Knights). So if you make it a Cavalry replacement, make it weaker and cheaper than the basic unit (something like the Ansar Warrior is compared to the Knight). Otherwise you just get another Sipahi.
          Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

ah... but a sipahi can't enslave... (oh, and its 8/3)

I just tested 'my' hussar ... its rather kewl... needs some good protection though because of the 2 defense. I found the enslaved workers very useful in building defensive forts in enemy territory.

Nice to know that you like your stronger version of Cavalry - something the Hussar never was. Now make it 6/2/3 and 10 shields cheaper than normal Cavalry and it will be ok. :P
