You mean like Flak? Even though they are asleep while being transported?

It is an anomaly at best and wrong at the oher end IMO. Frigates should not shoot down planes and neither should galleons cargo.

        You mean galleons, right?

Look at it this way - maybe some of the Mobile SAM's were stationed on the deck of the Galleon

However, if a loaded 'Flak' by the AI no wonder did 'as cargo' shoot down passing air, then as a modding perspective this is WONDERFUL. For two reasons, formost of which is, it was an AI action, second could be human game culture via unit modifications and rhetoric to explain same. Nice, now let's try it out more scienfically!

Whether it 'should' have happened or not, I applaud the occasional loss of aircraft to "obsolete" units. Just as I like occasional losses of tanks to spears.

If it is a mystery as to HOW it happened in the game, that's even BETTER!

I am fine with it wither way, AS LONG as they document the feature. I have gone along, thinking I did not have to be circumspect, when I attack that configuration.

Personally, I no longer mind the documentation lack. The utter surprise/shock/mystery/"what-the-'bleep'-happened!" enhances the enjoyment of the game for me.

While I am a Monarch level player, I have edited the rules substantially* as you may have read from past posts of mine.
Having tired of constant warfare and long world-conquering warfare, my next game will involve all non-despotic governments having at least low war weariness.

                * No artillery units (which the AI never used anyway), replaced with expensive "assault" units with artillery factored within; higher defense bonuses; stronger attack of foot units; expensive settlers and workers; nerfed marketplaces (no multiplying of luxuries).
