Look at a few of the tourney games, where people won in the BC time frame. True oriinal CivIII was easier than C3C.

Me I am never in a hurry to finish a game.

The CFC HOF forum is where most of the discussion about how to approach Huge maps has been done.

I would suggest you look at the CFC GOTM forum. You can see all types of maps where players won by 4xxAD. Some games are original civ3, some ptw and now a few C3C.

It's my understanding that a permanent solution to documenting the GOTM's games and information is in the works. In the meantime, I'm posting this unofficial thread to create a set of links to some of the threads where GOTM features are discussed. I'll add a few more links to great Civ3...

The problem with that Hall of Fame is that 90% of the scores are PTW or Vanilla Civ3. In C3C it's more difficult to get as high a score. So it's apples and oranges comparison.

I'm pretty sure you could get a sub-800AD Diplomatic victory though.
By building the UN in 800AD?
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

Wait... for some people to leave
I got another trick up my sleeve
Step with pep to the back of the house
Looked in... all the lights are out
Grabbed the door and it's locked, so
easily made my way to the window
Lift it up slow, cause it takes timing
Looked around, and then I climbed in
                  Once inside, I start takin
Cause you know it's no time for shakin
Get what you gonna get, front and center
or get five years for breakin and enter
                  Move quickly, but no runnin
                  Shh, I think somebody's comin
Hear the front door key, and I flee
out the back door with a fist full of jewelry
                  Over the wall... don't fall
Wipe my sweat cause that was a close call
Gettin ganked by the E is a lesson
So... is there any more questions?

Never thought I'd be quoting Eazy-E on Poly, at least outside the OT.

I thought that he was whack, at least that is what Dre says of the late E.

That's some sort of UU I never heard of, isn't it? Special to Detroit or LA or someplace?

The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

Dre was just upset that E and Ice Cube were the driving creative forces behind NWA.

NWA was very talented, but I just remember the video Snoop and Dre did capping on Too Live Crew and Easy E.

Ok, last OT on this one for me, sorry.

Ice Cube also did one where he talked about lighting up E's hair with, "a match and a little bit of gasoline".

Why am I talking about this here? heheheh. I'm going back to my Byzantines game..
