  • Curiosities? Oddities? BUGS?

    I'm playing with 1.22.

In my current game, I'm bordered by Arabia and Rome. I had embassies in both of their capitals. I wanted to do some map trading: I found I could do so with Rome but not with Arabia. Why would that be?

Later on, I decided to invade Arabia. Before doing so, however, I wanted to get Rome on my side so looked for a Mutual Protection Pact. I could get a Military Alliance but no Pact. Aren't both available at the same time?

    Thoughts?

Rome had the map-trading-enabling tech, but not Rome, I figure.

Mil Alliance requires Writing. MMPs requires Nationalism.

IN Conquests map trading requires (one of?) you to have Navigation.

Once the player has Navigation, maps are tradeable with any AI civ. I've never seen that NOT happen.
