Intsallation problem......

I recently purchased a new computer compaq presario SR1023WM. I had an older machine that ran windows me. Anyway i had civ 3 gold installed on the ME machine, then i tried to install it on the Compaq (new) and it messed up after switching disks to install the data 3 file. Now when i try to install it again the install shield wizard asks me if i want to repair, modify or remove the program.
When i tried to modify and add select components nothing showed up to add
when i tried to repair nothing happened
I uninstalled and removed everything and even went into program files and deleted the atari folder then tried to reinstall, but the wizard still came up asking if i wanted to repair, modify or remove and it did the same as the aforementioned

does anyone know what to do?

You probably need to get rid of some references in the registry.
I'm not going to tell how to do that, because that is beyond my level of expertise.

Someone will come along to help you out though.

You could a registry cleaner. make sure to back it up before making any changes.
