Game Limits

Came someone explain "Game Limits" to me. I see it under the picture of my leader on the start up page.
I've selected it and tried to change one of the limits;
i.e. Number of Turn to 100. When I hit enter it displays the new number.
But when I try to get out it goes back to the Number of Turns ___ screen. It won't let me exit until I set it back to the original number. What am I doing wrong???

It is a bug, but you can ignore it. If you set it to 100 turns and select the ok, it will act like it did not work, but it did.

Just select cancel eventually and it will go back to the leader screen. Now continue on as nrmal. Once the game starts, hit F8 and you will see the turns are now 100.

I find that the maximum limits you set at the beginning of the game are those set in the Editor > Scenario Properties. For instance, if I wanted the maximum score (for units killed, locations held, etc.) to be 999,999 instead of 50,000, it has to be raised in the Editor. You can then set it lower when you start a game.

sometimes the editor goes completely crazy with this stuff , ....

lets hope they fix all the bugs with the superpatch
