  • Deceiving population numbers?

When having selected the Domination victory condition In Conquests, I can see my population and areal percentage and that of my closest rival (and I would guess that means the AI with the heaviest percentages, regardless whether he have more or less than me) on the Victory Screen.

However, in my last game the information on the Demographics Screen didn't correspond to the information on the Victory Screen. The DemoScr said I was no. 1 in the world, as far as population went. But the VicScr said my closest rival had one population percent more than me.

Now, is this due to a bug or have I misinterpreted the facts?

By the way, I had discovered all other Civs and was well into the game.

I never paid much attention to it, but I have seen that in C3C. I was playing a SId game and watching it close. I just chaulked it up to rounding issue.

Perhaps the Victory Screen doesn't take food boxes into account, but rather only pop points? (The demographics do take stored food in to account in addition to pure pop points)
