I read on an amazon review that if I already owned civ3, the only expansion I would need to get is Conquests and this would have the PTW stuff already in it? Is this true or do I need to get both expansions? I have the basic bare-bones civ3 that I bought when the game came out.

There are a few differences, tho', such as changes to some civilizations attributes. But the differences are so minor as to not matter much.
i.e. Carthage Industrious and Commercial on the PTW disc, but Industrious and Seafaring on C3C."We may be in a hallucination here, but that's no excuse for being delusional!." K.S. Robinson, 'The Years Of Rice And Salt.'

I think Conquests may not include the PTW editor, and as Krill says it doesn't have the extras.

In C3C, yes. But there is no difference between fully patched PTW and the PTW that comes on the C3C disk. Carthage is still Ind-Com if you run the PTW executable.

The extra dinosaur and WWII graphics that came with PTW but are not included in C3C may be DL'd for free at CFC. If memory serves, they're also available at www.civ3.com .Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Yep. Glad I never bought PTW now."And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961

I'm glad I bought PTW. I had a year of good gameplay before C3C came out. Easily worth the $20 I paid for it.
Don't, however, buy it now.Seemingly Benign
