  • Scenario: WW2 Europa

Hello, I present my first scenario to them for C3C, is based on the scenario of civ2 but with some changes.

I have tried which it is looked like which it happened in the WW2, that there are some errors but I have tried to simplify the scenario, and when it is always simplified it is left something by the way

They must pay much attention with the installation place. They do not use the predetermined place of installation. In the end it must be installed in the Scenarios folder, something thus "... \Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios"
They must also install the version corresponding to its language and “common files”

This scenario have two locked alliances, as well as five nations nonaligned. The coalition of the Axis is formed by Germany and Italy which occupy several countries of Europe; the Allied coalition includes England, Holland and France. The nonaligned nations are the USSR, Spain, Yogoslav, Turkey and the neutral states (represented by Sweden).
This scenario begins in the month of May 1940.

The names of the cities are copied of a map of http://www.nationalgeographic.com

Sorry by my “web translator” english.

C3C v1,15 tested (Spanish) Thanks to "Spanish Civilization Site" to tester the scenario in the PBEMS.

    IMPORTANT C3C v1,15 and previous: Edit:280404
In order to see the era correctly "science industrial" to rename in "... \Conquests\Scenarios\WW2 Europe\Art\Advisors" the file "science_industrial_new.pcx" and to change the name "science_industrial.pcx"

Editado: 28 Abril 2004

Just saw this, and have some comments.

                      1. Yugoslavia should be split up into a Croatian and Serbian faction. Croats allied with the Axis, Serbs with the Allies. (Yugoslavia was a country in name only in May 1940.)

                      2. I'd avoid collecting countries into Sweeden, there's up to 31 civs allowed in Civ III unlike Civ II.

I don't see this mentioned so just in case, running thru some minor European powers in 1940:

                      Norway : Allied with Axis
                      Finland : Allied with Axis
                      Romania : Allied with Axis

Chekoslavia : Previously annexed by Germany

Hungary : I'm not sure if it had been overrun by May 1940 or not.

                      Protogual : Allied with Allies

                      Swisterland : Neutral

Poland : Already split between Germany and USSR
                      Albania : Neutral
Greece : Allied with the Allies

                      Northern Africa situation:
Libya : Starts as part of Italy.
                      Egypt : Part of England.
Rest of northern africa if the map doesn't go too far south: Part of France

                      Middle East:
Palentine & Jordon: Part of England
                      Syria : Part of France
Any portion of Iraq on the map : Part of France
Any portion of Saudi Arabia pensula on the map : Non-alligned Saudi Arabia.

The Axis will face a somewhat tougher challenge than historically in one regard, they can't form a Vicky French puppet upon capturing Paris in Civ III.

On the other hand, the Axis player won't face the resistance fighters in Civ III either.

                        Jon

would you be interested in trying this out in a pbem format?

or would you prefer to wait for the above items to be looked at?

                        cheers

I'd like the above items to be looked at first.

I'd mark the countries starting netural with the exception of the Soviet Union as AI only. (And also some of the weaker axis and allied powers as AI only as well.)

Idealy Victory Conditions would be set so that allies can't win without crippling all the axis powers and likewise axis can't win without crippling all the allied powers.
