Yes, interesting in the context that 1.15b was released nearly 2 months ago now, and the weight of supposedly informed opinion has been arguing that the reason it takes so long to get the final patch out is not because there are lots more changes, but because it needs a lot of testing to make sure everything's perfect!Last edited by Rommel2D; April 1, 2004, 04:24.Enjoy Slurm - it's highly addictive!

Culturally linked starting loc
I have run a number of test in debug mode (in my personal mod) and clearly the "Culturally linked starting locations" flag does not work. It was the same already in 1.15beta. Does anyone have the same experience with the stock rules? Also, when random civs are chosen, American civs seem to chosen more often than other culture groups.
Not a big deal but I wonder how they are able to introduce new bugs....

hey, i have to, my damned CD broke.
I tried to break a cd once. It didn't work at once.
It's in fact pretty hard to break one.
CD's don't get broken by accident. You're either lying, or you broke it on purpose.
In both cases you don't deserve a non-cd patch.Formerly known as "CyberShy"

Single player games do not appear to be affected, but MP games are impossible to play except in a single session, and no one plays for just an hour do they? This patch is worse than bad unfortunetly and if you play multiplayer I don't recommend upgrading from 1.15.

That really sounds strange!
Pherhaps they uploaded the wrong file? An old alpha version?
It's hardly possible that oversaw such a bug during playtesting!!
I'm glad that I haven't installed this 'patch' yet.Formerly known as "CyberShy"

I am the Head Admin of CIV3Players, the largest MP Civ3 Conquests Ladder League in the world with almost 600 ranked players.
The 1.20 patch has a disasterous major bug for the MP player community. It is IMPOSSIBLE to restart a game that is suspended for whatever reason.
Yes, it's true, not only can't it LOAD a 1.15 save file, it also can't LOAD a 1.20 save file in Multiplayer mode.
I consider it irresponsible that this wasn't tested. In two hours using the new patch we encountered this bug a dozen times. It happens every time. You can go back 1, 2, 3, 4 save files it doesn't matter.
We have told all our members NOT to install 1.20. It is imperative that Firaxis put the 1.15 patch back up on their server as many people who misguidedly installed 1.20 have to uninstall Conquests and reinstall up to the 1.15 patch.
I hope this information helps others avoid pain and suffering.
Sincerely,

The only April Fool's joke was us MP folk uninstalling our entire C3C program last night (when we realized the patch was a POS), then reinstalling the whole damn thing, then reinstalling the patches up to 1.15. Damn funny, I tell ya. What a riot!
