It's a problem in the third age of all scenarios, conquests, and mods.

Things seem a bit weird with this patch

On starting a new game i now receive Radio as a starting tech. Also there's still an empty spot for it in the tech screen. Should be totally been disabled now as far as i understand.

If i find more i'll add, but might revert if to many bugs pop up, especially if they affect gameplay in a bad way.

        EDIT:
Ok Tech tree displaying wrong might be my mistake of trying to load an old savegame. Added the info below (Or oops did a double post trying to fix that now )

Well, for modding reasons I placed 'radar' in the first age with masonry. Maybe, if they think to mod their own game after the fact, they should get some, shall I say erstwhile 'expert' advice from the modding community.

Ok Tech tree displaying wrong might be my mistake of trying to load an old savegame. (hey, i had to try )After restarting Civ and starting a new game it does display as it should ie radio is gone with the arrows fixed.
            Didn't try the scenarios though.

Still you seem to start with the radio tech. But beyond looking silly in the small text blurb when you start a new game, it seems to have no bad effects. It doesn't allow you to build radar towers or research follow up tech. In other words it looks dumb, but seems to work ok.

this is the tech tree error for the middle ages scenario, just an example what alexman was talking about:

                whoa that looks really bad...

so the patch overwrites the art/advisors/science*.pcx for all the conquests?

No, but the executable now looks for a file called science_industrial_new.pcx. Since it doesn't exist for the conquests (it exists only for the epic game), it uses the one in the epic game folder. If you rename science_industrial.pcx to science_industrial_new.pcx in all the conquests, they will work fine.

does this also mean that scenarios with a custom tech tree will have to be named science_era_new.pcx?

Yes, but only the third "industrial" age. Not all of the ages.

Yes, interesting in the context that 1.15b was released nearly 2 months ago now, and the weight of supposedly informed opinion has been arguing that the reason it takes so long to get the final patch out is not because there are lots more changes, but because it needs a lot of testing to make sure everything's perfect!

MP games can't be reloaded, get black screen then either freeze or CTD.

This patch is joke, I say Firaxis has blown their last chance to prove they have a concern for the civ franchise beyond just the cash.
