I am a latecomer to civ3 and I'm still playing the game. I can agree with a lot of the comments made.

    Hopefully civ4......

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

Civ 1 and 2 were way too easy. I could finish a game in 5 hours sometimes, never really thinking much beyond who I was attacking next, just set the tax/science/luxury slider on cruise control and go with it...lol...I remember using one unit to capture cities lol...sometimes being able to wipe out a civilization with 6 knights.

Civ 3 is much better for me because I like being required to think. I like Monarch level games, but I could hang in harder games, I just don't like the S&M feel if you know what I mean.

There's being challenged, and then there's working for my fun vs. having fun, lol.

Relax, and forget about Civ 1 and Civ 2, they're like x girlfriends. You'll never enjoy the one you're with if you keep thinking about the ones you used to be with.

that one unit being the howitzer. The most overpowered unit in any game.

        But I still miss it
