Complete Arda? There's, actually , no map of complete Arda in the times that the Lord of The Rings and the original part of the Silmarillion were wrote.

There are visions based on book descriptions and recopilations made by Tolkien's son. In fact, there are some tiny discordances between the Hobbit and The Lord of the rings (for example, the word "Mirkwood" refferencing the black forest).

But Aman and Númenor are visions, OK, OK, so you have a point here, but considerning Civ 3 limitations on map size and the fact that the rest of Arda means a incredible tiny part (orocarni area only , possibly) is pretty meaningless for a major part of players in Apolyton. The main idea of the map is a major use of the ships in late game and the confrontation between east and west in an hipotetical possibility. Just fun!

Finally, the map deformance is for adding more strategy into the positions (narrow passages) or avoiding empty areas or non used passages (this is why the forochel/northern map area is enclosed by mountains), read upper posts for more info.

Thank you very much, for the opinion! I want more!! Savegames! Create a haters' club! Whatever!

Now we have the map, are we going to see the scenario one day?

Just took a look at the map. Looks great! Looks like you accomplished what you set out to do. Tolkien would be proud.

            Now to play it.

Great, great, great! I know a few about LOTR, so here are my sugestions: make only the Snow Capped Mountains impassable, there are some mountains (Moria, Erebor, the sacred mountain in Númenor) that can be passed. Allow cities to be built on hills, many cities were built in hills in the book (most in 1st age, but also in the others).
Hey, can I mod your map? Please? I already have many units, but this is the first LOTR map i found to C3C, all others were to vanilla.
