  • Democracy Game?

Is there any Democracy Games for Civ Conquests? If so, how does one join one.... if not, what is the last version of Civilization that has a Democracy game and how do I get into one?

If you go to the main forum index, you will find three forums with the names

    Civ3-Democracy Game
    Civ3-PtW Democracy Game
    Civ3-PtW Democracy Game 2

This should answer your first question. As to the question how to get into one, a post in the New Members/Welcome/whatever thread in the first forum may help. The other two are multiplayer games and you have to join a team.

Well, I got your PM, but, unfortunately, I am at work and not able to reply to it. I can only post in the regular forums at work. Anyway, tell me little about yourself (either here or PM, it doesn't matter). What is your Civ exp, play style etc. Also what you do for a living, do you post on other forums, yada, yada, yada.

I only ask as I do not know who you are and there are security measures in place on the MP forums. No insult is intended.

I guess, what I really need is for someone to help me get started in all this, take me under their wing or something. I'd really like to have something to occupy me time and to play something I enjoy

solax, if you get on a team, you will not have to do anything right away. The way it works is a team gets the save and plays their turn and sends it on.
The team will be posting their thoughs on the overall game, the specific turn and any detail needed.
Depending upon where you are in the game at any point in time, it may be that little needs to be discuss for the turn.
If you are say at peace and have some short term goals set up. One player can play the turn with little input. So maybe the team is going over what they want to be doing down the road.

So once you get involved you can chime in with your perspective on anything. In any event you get to see the game in a new light, if you have not played this way before.

The games have been going on for months already. No C3C games yet AFAIK. Probably because everyone was waiting for the patch and so many are in many games already.

As a sub-forum in the Civ3 Democracy Game forum is a sign-up for the Intersite C3C Democracy Game which is currently the only C3C democracy game on 'Poly. You might want to check that out if you haven't already, though the security measures donegeal mentioned are the same (come to think of it, donegeal is one of the mods for that forum so you may have already signed up. ).

                  Hello solax!

If you are interested in joining the Conquests Democracy Game being set up, here is the Sign-up thread.

This is a game where an Apolyton team is taking on a number of teams from other sites in a best-of elimination series of games. There is currently no single player vs AI Democracy Game for any version but Play the World.
