  • Democracy??

Democracy is the greatest form of government ( in my eyes) because of its wealth and its 150 % work effort.
Down Down Down side to this is the fact that i pay
    - 130 for units

I had a revoultion to change to that form of government and if i change now i'll lose 4 turns that are really needed in the war ... Question is " How the heck do I build an army without paying for every unit" is there a way in Democracy to get the people to except my large army... also wat is draft rate... wats that do

Drafting is too be avoided if at all possible. To allow larger troops to be supported you need more cities.

Demo can afford to pay the support, everything i a trade off.

The key to unit support in Democracy is generating cash.

So build courthouses where they will make a difference to corruption. Build marketplaces pretty much everywhere. Build banks and stock exchanges in your main cities.

If you have about 12-15 cities at size 12 or larger (out of a total of 30) with banks and stock exchanges you should be making more than enough to support your unit costs in Democracy.
Never give an AI an even break.

yep yep a save would be nice. I'm getting bored of civ3 now, so I don't play long games anymore ... I'd get c3c but I'm scared of getting addicted again - it would be nice to see someone else's save ... are you playing civ3 1.29f?

At any point you can save the game. It will exist in the saves folder. It will have a name that denotes the leader of your civ and their name and the current date. The file type is sav.

You can attach it via the browse button below the post reply window.

Some one will look at it it to see if they can see anything that may be less than optimal and suggest how to improve.

This tactic is useul to get tips on lines of play. Best when you post a 4000bc save and one from 30 or 40 turns later and see what players suggest.

Lots of people have one this route and are now strong emperor players.
