Help required for starting locations...

Ok my situation is that I can't get civs to start in the right locations. I'm currently running version 1,21, so that I can use the editor. Whatever my efforts I always start in the wrong place, what's going on here ?!

Please help, I desperatly want to play on a huge Earth Map...

If you have the scenario map, you can place the start locationanywhee that is valid. Select properties and the you can either give it a player number or a civ owner.

In the editor you need to right click on the start location(which brings up a menu) and assign it to a specific civilization, also when you start the game make sure you have the culturally linked starting locations option selected.
