    Chinese - military and infrastructure are highly important. Although the "Industrious" trait was weakened a bit, it still allows a slightly faster construction of roads, which are very important in the early game.

      I haven't tried out all the civs yet, but of the ones I have tried, the Egyptians were my favorite. The Iroquois were pretty good too.

      You apparently don't realize that the War Chariot becomes obsolete with knights, not horsemen. So, in effect, they last longer than horsemen and Mounted Warriors since they're available earlier on the tech tree. The 3-Man Chariot is the same, I believe.

        He may have meant that in an abstract sense -- it "expires" in that it stops becoming effective at killing things. Whether or not that is actually true is a matter of debate; since a WC is in combat a horseman, it depends on how you view the effectiveness of horsemen.
