  • Auto-ignore userinput?

Does C3C have some auto function to ignore what the player choses to do?

In my current game I'm playing on some pangea map. In the options I have set it to popup whenever a city builds anything, and always build last built unit. I usually try to keep an eye on whatever my cities are building, but I may miss a few cities from time to time.

For some turns ago (about 15 or so), I just noticed one of my cities were building a ship, which I quickly cancelled, but this turn I noticed a boat of mine (Which I'm 100% sure that I never had built any ships on my own) sailing close to some enemy land. It was set to auto-explore

Has there been made any changes to C3C that I'm not avare of?

Man that sounds scary. I have noticed the gov will seem to revolt on me from time to time, but I try to watch him like a hawk.

Best check to make sure all your Governor settings are off, and check the advanced preferences as well for anomalies. Can't say I've noticed this, and checking the Gov and Prefs is the first thing I always do.

only thing i've noticed is that when i load 2 different saves with 2 different settings, that the settings from the one save get transferred to the new save. Wierd stuff. Though i've standardized my settings now, so its not a problem anymore

I haven't checked what my Governor settings are set to, but I guess this could maybe have something to do with this...

i too have noticed this many times.....i give an instruction only to notice a turn or two latter that the city is building wealth or a frigate or sam missile battery....i put it down to myself making mistakes but its happened once too often.....even when im certain i never chose to build wealth.

Never had this happen to me but..

I only use governors for moods - NEVER for anything else.

I uncheck "build last unit" in preferences.

I always set cities a list of 2 or 3 things to build and put wealth at the end of the list. Then when I get the pop up and it says wealth I know it is time to go back to that city and give some more build instructions.

I never use the governor to anything but moods either... I always check the "build last unit", since I hate having to set it to build the last built unit over an over again... and I hate the queue...

The first to items you mention are what I do as well and love it

The last item about your build queue is a very good idea! I will try this in my current game.

I always have the Govenor off and I have not experienced this problem. Could there be a problem with the Govenor when he is on at any setting?

speaking of funny things being built.

I too have noticed things being built that I didnt intend, and just wrote it off to sloppy fingers/brain. But didnt have that problem before Conquests...hmmmm...

Yes, that is a good idea. Guess I'll check Gov this evening to be sure, too...
