  • How many cities allowed in-game?

Ever since Civ3 first came out, this question was never clearly answered in my mind. I seem to recall something like 512 cities total, but 1)is that number accurate, 2)is it the same number in C3C and 3)would it be possible to increase the allowed number or is it a hard-coded number?

Yup 512 is it. I read someone claim it was possible to change it, but I doubt it.

      Damn.

Anyway, it's ALWAYS possible to change the number, but I guess if it's a hard-coded number then it's a matter of whether changing that number would violate the copywrite protections. In that case, it wouldn't be possible to (legally) change the number.

      Double damn.

      Thanks V.
