  • C3C Patch Information & Plans

I wanted to apologize to players who have been encountering problems or confusion due to the release of the beta patches. It was not my intention to confuse anyone or create an unstable gaming situation!

I am focused on releasing an official version of the latest code (v1.15) that fixes the Localization versions so that they work correctly. Obviously I wasn't thinking when I included the English version of the Conquests. If you install v1.15 it will overwrite your Conquests and Text files to the English versions which will break your game! I'm VERY sorry for this oversite and am working on providing a solution ASAP.

This patch will be an ROW Localization Version for 1.15 that will still be considered BETA. After this release there will be no more BETA patches. A full release will be made available at the end of February that includes fixes for many of the issues that you are encountering.

At that time plans for the next release will be posted. I appreciate your taking the time to write on the forums your problems, comments, and concerns. It greatly assists me with developing a patch that will hopefully solve all of your problems.

Sadly there is no substitute for the kind of stress a games code gets once its on the market. In a very short time the amount of hours logged playing exceeds the combination of all hours in the test cycle combined!

We appreciate your patience as I work towards a solution.

    Thanks for the support!!

And thanks for the constant communications. I don't recall a time where there has ever been this much forthcoming from Firaxis. I think we all appreciate it.

Thanks for the update! Sorry to hear the beta patch process experiment didn't yield the positive results you'd hoped for (on an aggregate basis). Please stick around the forums (even if you only lurk) for the feedback that can come only from the stresses experienced by code out in the market.

I have not used any of the beta patches yet so my game is stable as can be.

thanks for the info, Jesse. we really appreciate your efforts.

i've read that there is now a problem with the official patch release date, which is now 'to be determined'. is there any chance that the official patch is released by the end of February, as originally stated?
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

ok, if you're still reading this thread jesse, i have a question (anyone can answer).

                    I have a dual-install of C3C right now, 1.12 and the out-of-box version. i want to upgrade my out-of-box version to 1.15.

the way i did my dual install (to be utterly safe), was i installed the game, then renamed the conquests folder to "OLD Conquests", then uninstalled the game (reomving only registry entries) and installed again. I patched, and that upgraded the second install, leaving me with my current situation.

so, can i rename the 1.12 install folder "Conquests 112", rename the original install as "Conquests", and simply upgrade to 1.15 (or to 1.12 -> 1.13 -> 1.15)?
