SMACX Mod for Civ3?

Anyone know if its been tried? More or less looking for an expansion to the Tech Tree, with included Units and Wonders.

To be honest, not entirely sure if its possible, but would be kinda neat to add another age or two for a little more fun late in the game...

AFAIK, you can't add ages.

What you can do, OTOH, is "compact" the ages that are already there, and turn the "modern" age into the "SMAX" age.

I've been contemplating doing this very thing.

Since I'm lazy, contemplating is all I'm likely to do.

Still, it's a nice topic for contemplation.

Blah! Civ3 couldn't handle it. The game engine is VERY different from SMAC(x).

Well sure its different, I'd much rather have the Social engineering chart, but I know thats impossible.

i was talkin just the techs, new units, the "secret Projects", that kinda thing.

Good Idea on squishing the ages... maybe if I have a week to kill then....
