  • How to get 32-bit colour depth?

I know how to retain my desktop resolution by adding "KeepRes=1" to the INI file. But is there a way to make it use a 32-bit colour depth? It keeps going to 16 bits.

(I may have known how to do this once upon a time, but it's so long since I played Civ3, and now I've got Conquests I find that I can't remember!)

Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answer!

Would that even have a purpose? If Civ3 defaults to 16bit colour, then likely all the images are at 16bit colour too. Switching to 32 bit would give no added benefit.

Yeah, you're right. I've tested it by explicitly switching to 32-bit while Civ is running, and taking screen dumps for comparison. There is no difference.

      So, no worries there then.
