  • Writing !=Right of Passage

    Not sure this deserves an entire thread of its own but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere before . . . it's been widely announced that C3C changed the tech requirements for trading contacts to Printing Press and for trading maps to Navigation. I didn't notice until just now (when I spent 48 hard-saved gold to establish an embassy solely for an RoP) that Writing no longer allows RoPs -- Writing allows embassies and military alliances, but RoPs require Map Making. This is C3C v1.12.

    If this is already widely known, then

    Any other gameplay changes you've noticed that haven't been widely commented on?

    All sorts of weird things trigger GAs for Agricultural civs.

        I mean wonders that are completely not agriculture-related. Now stop +1ing.

          Some of the new 'features' in C3C take some getting used to.

            Lots of fatal bombard units, dunno if it's just air though. Caught me on the hop anyway
            It's all my territory really, they just squat on it...!
            She didn't declare war on me, she's just playing 'hard to get'...

              Catt it is widely know at least to all of us chumps that tripped over the first week of playing C3C. Page 27 kindly omits that entry and that really is nasty.

              The C3Cref 1.02 posted has the stuff layed out where it is not to hard to find.

                Ouch! Is there a growing rift within Gathering Storm? (just a little insider-trading )

                  Thanks for the notice Catt, I was wondering when you could make RoP's with the new rules, and now I know

                    What's the C3Cref 1.02 and where can I take a gander at it for other discoveries?

                      Here it is Catt.

                      Hope it is useful. I like it just so I can see all the civs traits at a glance. Makes it easier to decide what one to play.
