What effect does choosing Accelarated Production have ?

Anyone out there who can give specifics ?

It will make the game play faster. Specific abound in some of the DYP threads.

Basically, you need half of everything to grow/build/research. Makes for a faster pace of the game, as the opening phase of the game with few units and (very) slow builds is over (much) sooner.
