  • Privateers and enslave

    Wow, what a hoot.

First to get privateers, build three or four of them and go to town
    on galleys and dromons.

With the enslave ability I've now got over 30 privateers! I thought the odds on enslave were fairly low, but in my current game as the Sumerians I seem to enslave about 50% of the time.

    Anyone else finding this?

    the enslaving ability is great.

in the age of dicsovery scenario I increased the combat stats and costs of privateers and sea dogs and it really puts the whole piracy action in the game!

its fun to own the seas

        That's incredible!

I've used the privateer, but I don't think I had a "critical mass" of privateers to really rule the seas. The AI will target those ships over all other priorities it seems.

What a fun game to have 30 privateers! Yes, i've seen about a 50% enslave rate...isn't that what they published? I can't remember and I'm at work away from Civlopedia...
        Haven't been here for ages....
