Anyone familiar with the possibility of 'setting or modding' the behavior of Goody Huts? I have searched about the game editor, however, to no avail. I would ideally like to set the percentages of what happens. It is especially irksome to get 'worthless maps' 90% of the time or barbarians 90% of the time. Also, how about even 'setting what happens' so it functions as a makeshift 'event' trigger.

Additionally, Can trade be shut off betwixt all Civs so as to save on the 'processing load'? My worlds are resource rich. No one need trade for any resource.

    Sincerely,

    Thanks for all imput!!

There's not much you can do with Goody Huts I'm afraid. The only option available is to have a resource appear whenever the hut gives you money. You can find that on the General setting page. Other than that, all you can do is set your preference for Barbarians in the start up screen. It sounds like you have yours set to Random; if you select Raging, you wouldn't end up with "worthless" maps. Goody huts are considered Barbarians just like the nasty ones.

Thankyou very for your kind response Willem! Much appreciated. I guess I need to broaden my inquiry to includ, if any have experience modifying the 'Goody Box' random routine that are running underneath the options available in the 'game editor'?

This is just so close to a makeshift 'event' trigger. Some more options would be nice.

        Many thanks

          Nope, it's hardcoded. :L

You can change the span of golden ages though (general settings)
