  • How is C3C multiplayer?

    All I care about is multiplayer really. All the new units and civs are nice but I quickly realized it meant diddly squat to me if I couldnt play a friggin game without crashes and slowdown w/ my friends when I got PTW.

    So please if someone could tell me just how C3C multiplayer works I'd appreciate it.

    C3C's active multiplayer is quite good - it suffers from far fewer problems than PTW's did. While a few players still report problems, by and large things are very much improved. I use my OOS count as an indicator- in PTW, you could expect 2-3 per game; in C3C, .1 is a more accurate guess.

    Obviously as you increase the number of players things are going to get a little more fidgety, but C3C's MP overall is *much* improved.

      works good! I have played with 2 and 3 players over DSL. All crashes that we had were due to network problems on our side.
      The only bad thing is, that we could not use voice chat, yet.

        It's pretty awesome. I'm totally getting into the the MP tournaments hosted here at Apolyton. The PBEM is pretty good, but it's the MP - especially concurrent movement - that really grabs your attention.

        Minimal problems with connection type issues.
        Haven't been here for ages....
