Is it possible to lengthen the scenarios? For instance, I think Age of Discovery ends just as it's getting really fun. The editor has me a bit baffled, so thanks for any help.

Yes, you can lengthen the scenarios if you like. Launch the editor. Open the scenario you'd like to modify. From the menu items along the top of the screen, click on "Scenario" and select "Scenario Properties" (or, you could use the shortcut Alt-Enter). You'll be presented with a screen such as the one below -- simply lengthen the number of turs in the time limit (lower left) for a longer game.
If, on the other hand, your scenarios end too soon because of victory conditions reached rather than the time limit, you'll have to alter the victory conditions. I *think* you can do this from the game set-up options (but I haven't played any Conquests yet, so can't be sure).
