  • TYPOS in Conquest's cover

    Hi everyone.
I just recently bought my copy of Conquests. Only this week it was available here in Portugal (Europe...).
Anyway, below I'm going to quote what's on my game cover (inside a triangle on the top right corner of the box cover

    "Expansion Pack
    MUTLIPLAYER+
    7 new CIVILAZATIONS".

    How sad...

Anyway, these new civilizations seem pretty interesting.
Too bad I had to go through Civ1, 2, 3 and 2 expansion packs to find the Portuguese on this wonderfull game.

It is so much easier to type words with the wrong spelling on a computer than it is with pen amd paper, so I give them some slack, but yeah the QA should have seen it.

MUTLIPLAYER is spelled so by purpose. If it doesn't work again (like in PtW) and the crowd yells "There's the word MULTIPLAYER on the box", they can just respond "Where exactly?"

Typos in subject heading: should be "Conquests' cover"

Well, English is not my mother language.
Anyway, if written in Latin it would be "lapsus teclae".
And no, Latin is not my mother language, I'm not that old :-)

Don't feel bad about that. I've known some folks whom do consider English as their first language, and they 'still' can't spell.

Of course the 'Brits' have been telling us 'Yanks' that same thing for years now.

Just take a look in the off topic. Lots of such misspellings, all by native English speakers.

                It's not 'beleive', but believe.

                It's not 'recieve', but receive.

It's not the 'midevil age', but the medieval age.

And it is not 'diety', but deity, dammit. Good thing you hardly can misspell 'Sid'.

/me thinks some of these are clearly just typos, and vows to keep a careful eye out so he can mock terribly any of those posting here if (heaven forbid! ) any typos ever appear in their posts.

But to spell something wrong like this on a cover is rather alarming...
                      Speaking of Erith:

If you take a look at the civ3.com's source code, you will see that they've included among the keywords words such as:
"Sid Mier, Sid Meyer, Sid Maier"

They forgot about Cid Meier. though

A fast word about oral contraception. I asked a girl to go to bed with me and she said "no".

Hehe, this is hilarious. They missplelled only 40% of the words from the cover.

They told us they improved Multiplayer! Now it is Mutliplayer !
