  • Wonders bug..?

Unsure if this is a bug or a changed feature - haven't seen any reference to it yet.

You can change to build a Great Wonder with shields in the box and still keep the shields for that Wonder. This has worked in an Epic game on at least Sun Tzu's and the Knights Templar. So the game no longer restricts your Wonder pre-builds, which could be a counterbalance to no longer allowing MGLs to rush GWs, but seems a little bit too far in that direction to me.

I have posted this in the bug thread for the moment, and it will stay there until such a time as someone shows me evidence this is a changed feature rather than a bug.

This was always the case, as long as none of the shields were "tainted" - that is, shields produced by spending citizens/gold, disbanding units, or chopping down forest. Other than the tainted shield thing, Wonder pre-builds have never been restricted to my knowledge.

My God. I was going to post on how wrong you were, but I checked with an old game and, lo and behold, you were right.

      Nothing to see here.

Yup you were always able to switch back and forth, if the shileds were not tainted.
