Is this thing good? Any reviews for it yet?

I'm still not sure if I'll get this. The gameplay is still the same, and I get bored by the time I get to the industrial age. I never finish my games. I hate when I click retire- and it says I suffer a humiliating defeat. . How can I lose if I'm ahead in points?

What I'm hoping is the scenarios will be shorter than an entire game of civ, and will hold my interest more. I have trouble picking up my old games because they last so long. But I still do enjoy much of the gameplay of this game. I just don't like long games.
