I wished locked alliances were something less permanent and more like a locked alliance of several civs for 40 turns.
This would make the non scenario games a lot of fun, since players can join or make their own coalitions. I've always felt the bilateral alliance system in Civ3 was rather lacking and prone to both abuse and unintential problems when you get these tangled allianced and trigger an MPP somewhere that creates world war 3, destroys your reputation and a profitable trade.
I don't balem civ3 players for wanting to reload saves if this is what they want to fix.AI:C3C Debug Game Report (Part1) :C3C Debug Game Report (Part2)

Locked alliances are not in the epic game, but may easily be modded into scenarios. This option is available in the editor"What did you learn in school today, dear little boy of mine?
