Can someone tell me how the victory points thing works? Do you have to build a city next to the obelisk, or just post a unit next to it? And what happens if someone else posts a unit next to it? Is it first one there gets the points?

Typically, you need to station a military unit on the square with the Victory Point Obelisk. Each turn a military unit is on the VP square, you get points for it. The same is true for the other civs.Comment
