Ok, good point...

But how long do you think it will take them before they need to put out a patch for Conquests?

hi ,

well last year some-one at Firaxis woke up with a dream , .....

one of the main points in Conquests is that it shall not require a patch , .....

now lets give them the benefit of the doubt and watch and see what happens , .....

it has been mentioned before and rumour control has picked up this one also , ...... it has been achieved before , but its a huge task , ....

can they , can they not , it remains to be seen , patience , patience , .....

It is my opinion that they would never be able to sell to the PlayStation / game console market.... for there is no opportunity to download corrections on those games...

I live to see if they have got their collective together, pulled the old finger out, and built a one stop shop.

It would be so great to buy the finished product.

Couldn't agree with you more. The way things are these days one has to be careful even when purchasing a PS2 game. Sad really. Rush product out the door because profits are the bottom line. It's the nature of the beast.

The main problem most PC games is due to all the hardware variants. That does not exist on a console.

with all my posturing etc, that was one point (possibly of many)

that I had not looked at.

hi ,

psp and other console games are often full of holes , ....

and why play on a console that has not nearly the specs of a comp , .....

the benefit of patches is that when something is wrong you can change it at ones , .....

go PC games

a finished product is nearly always impossible , software has to change with the enviroment that changes all the time , look at a patch as an adaptation to a change in enviroment , .....

Just a stupid question... if I install conquest on a civ III
that dont have PTW, will I have everything that was on PTW or i have to buy PTW as well

that's great! I dont't wanna use money on PTW.
So it means that if I buy Conquest, I can still play against folks that has only the PTW if i choose PTW mode?
