  • custom unit error & custom wonder error!

I have made a custom wonder with the required resource Iron and required advance Iron Working. The civ im testing with has Iron and Iron Working. Yet the wonder won't appear in the building list.
    Any ideas?

Also, I tested making a new unit. I changed the name of the War Elephant to the Oliphaunt. When I made it I got something like:

    ERROR READING FILE.
    Missing entry in PediaIcons.txt: ANIMNAME_PRTO_Oliphaunt
What do I do to fix this?

    @ the ANIM... error
You need sto specify in what directory the game shal look for animations for the unit. (If you just had changed the anme and not the civilopedia entry name it would not have been an error) You have to add lines in pediaicons.txt telling the game to use a given folder for the unit animations.

Yup, I did change the civilopedia entry name too.

OK, so do I copy the art folders War Elephant stuff to my scenarion folder and change the name of the files from War Elephant whatever.file to Oliphaunt whatever.file?

And where, in the pediaicons.txt file do I add te lines telling the game to use a given folder for the unit animations?

I'm soo sorry I have to bother you guys and gals so much, I just never done a scenario before, but maybe once you pals help me out I'll know what to do from here on out!

It's right near the bottom of the the page. You have to add an entry that corresponds to the one you give in the editor. In other words, you have to add PRTO_Oliphaunt in the space provided in the editor, then ANIMNAME_PRTO_Oliphaunt in the pediaicons.txt. Then you have to enter the name of the folder that contains the art work for the unit.

Not sure why the Wonder doesn't appear, double check your editor entry. You might have missed something.

okay for my editior entry, I may have figured out whats wrong with my wonder. I put as one of the requirements a palace (in case the civs palace has been destroyed and they are trying to build it without one), but the civ I'm testing has the orginal pre-built palace by the comp. Do you think that thats the prob? or does anyone else have any ideas?
